SHOW TEAM REPORTS CHATEAU ELAN REPORT: JULY 4 WEEKEND, 2003 Congratulations to the IHE Show Team. Shaun, Jordan and Amber went to Chateau Elan the weekend of the 4th of July and did GREAT! Peter Parker and Shaun collected 2nds and 3rds in the hunter ring, while Austin Powers did the same in the jumpers (and came oh-so-close to winning it all!) with both Shaun and Jordan. Austin just LOVES what he's doing, and is a future "Maddie," while Petey can just make it look so easy in the hunters. Disco and Amber also collected a bunch of 2nds and 3rds, and will be a real threat as they continue to "open it up." Finally, Maddie and Jordan drew a HUGE crowd at the Mini Prix - when spectators came just to see THEM go - where they won against a VERY strong group of competitors. It was a long, hard weekend, but definitely a successful one as IHE's reputation just keeps getting better.
CONYERS OLYMPIC HORSE PARK - SEPT 27-28, 2003 Congratulations to the IHE Show Team. Shaun and Jordan went to the PSJ show at Conyers ( a fantastic facility, although very spread out with 10 rings in addition to the main show arena), and continued the tradition of winning just about everything they could! We took 4 horses - Peter Parker won division champion in his first jumper division EVER! Petey did a great job, and will soon be a viable double threat in hunters and jumpers with great movement, all his leads, and form, as well as speed in the jumpers when you ask for it. Bally continues to show what he has by taking an EASY reserve champion in the low schooling jumpers. He has loads of talent, and is really learing to love what he's doing. Jordan and Maddie to a very impressive 2nd place in the Mini-Prix, and Shaun re-introduced Porsche to competition with some impressive high schooling rounds. Not everyone knew us when we arrived, but we made some friends, created some rivalries, and got noticed by all on a very prominent stage!
PSJ FALL CLASSIC - OCT 4-5, 2003 Another DOMINATING performance with 3 division winners! Shaun rode PETER PARKER to another division win in the hopeful jumpers. THAT's TWO DIVISION WINS IN TWO TRIES! He continues to impress us all. BALLY and Shaun did the same thing in the low schooling jumpers, as did Shaun and PORSCHE in the high schooling jumpers! BALLY loves what he's doing more and more, and with his scope - watch out! PORSCHE is, as we know, just getting rid of some ring rust. Give her a while and she'll be back doing the high stuff. Margan Shinn and MIDNIGHT DYNASTY did it again with a SECOND place in the MINI-PRIX. What more can you say - MIDNIGHT has really found a place to shine! And big congratulations to Taylor Smith and CATCH ME IF YOU CAN (Chloe - to those of us in the barn). She competed in her fist PSJ and placed in every class. They both show a lot of promise - CHLOE took her first big show in stride and really impressed the judge - and we hope they will continue to carry some of the IHE Hunter load!
PSJ SOUTHEAST REGIONAL & MEDAL FINALS OCT 30 - NOV 2, 2003
Shaun, Porsche, Bill Payne and Johnnie Blue Eyes
Shaun and Porsche in the High Schooling Jumpers 4 days, 2 Division Championships, 2 Division Reserve Championships. Shaun rode Petey to ANOTHER hopeful jumper championship, while Shaun and Polaris won the reserve. Petey even moved up to one very clean and smooth Low Schooling round. Shaun rode Bally to his fifth Low Schooling Division win, and Shaun and Porsche came in a very close second to our friends Bill Payne and Johnnie Blue Eyes from Penns Woods Stables in the High Schooling Jumpers. Finally, on Sunday, Morgan Shinn rode Mojave to a convincing win in the Pony Jumpers and Amber Lee took home a second place out of 20 competitors in a very strong Limit Rider Hunter Hack. Thanks to all those who came to see another successful show for IHE. Congratulations also to 2003 PSJ Year End winners! Shaun and Porsche (2nd High Schooling Jumpers) Jordan and Madrigal (3rd Children's/Adults) Jordan and Madrigal (4th Progressive) Amber Lee and Disco (2nd Pony Jumpers)
